I know that I keep saying I'll get back on the bandwagon for good. Well, there seems to always be something that throws me right back off.
This last time was whats called the Close of Service conference. Basically the end of my 27 months as a volunteer here. It was held in a really nice hotel that has amazing breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks. I fell. Hard. Into. Food.
It happens. Live and learn. I did go the gym while there and it was heaven! Oh how I miss the gym. I took a 6am Zumba class and let me tell you. If you're intimidated in the US, don't come to Latin America where the instructor (male) can move his hips 290842903842 times better then you can. It was really entertaining and he just kept saying "mas! mas! MAS!" (more) no matter how much you shook your hips!
It was a lot of fun to see everyone from my group again and to be able to spend time our one last time together. Hopefully, I'll have another year here. *crosses fingers*
So now, I'm back in town, getting to work with my last 2 months of time and trying to behave myself. It's hard. I asked for a heart rate monitor for my birthday, so that way I can accurately calculate my calories burned. I just need to get it and then get to the exercising part.
This week I'm going to experiment and make curry chicken. YUMM! I have some fresh coconut and am going to try to add some different elements (maybe mango and pineapple)!
Here's to get back on track..for the 100th time.

I never even thought of that.... Zumba instructors in Latin America have to be so good, they make hula dolls blush. I forgot what it was like to dance merengue... LOL
